This week was wonderful. The weather was perfect & we enjoyed every minute! This weekend the weather is supposed to spike again, up to 103 F! This is the prime to get those indoor crafts done. We are thinking painting some terracotta pots pretty bright colors, trying out some new popsicle recipes, and catching up on all the magazines we haven't gotten around to reading. It should be a wonderful weekend, staying busy, and hopefully staying cool.

Summer is for taking time to yourself. If you like going to concerts, and getting out of the house, festivals can be the best way to have some fun. We have come across a website has a list of all the best festivals from around the world. The photographs alone are so wonderful. You can search by location, and type. You can visit the site here. Enjoy!
1. How sweet are these napkins? They are beyond easy to make, and they cost close to nothing past a few yards of cloth!
2. A link to a printable. 'Enjoy the little things'. We love it! 3. Flamingos are all the rage. They are exotic, graceful, and the most striking shade of pink. This photo is fabulous! 4. Speaking of the perfect shade of pink- how great is this rug covered bench? The tutorial looks irresistibly easy! 5. Nutella Cream Cheese Turnovers, need I say more? 6. Such a cute DIY upgrade for your bathroom. Chalkboard paint the inside of your medicine cabinet! Happy Monday everyone! We think succulents are such wonderful plants. They look fabulous in groups, and they are just as striking in a pot by themselves. They are easy to take care of, and they do great indoors as well as out. We are nominating them as some of our favorite plants. We have lots of succulents, in various pots and groupings at the shop, as well as some expertise for those who have questions. Come by the shop and take a peek!
Every once in awhile I think it is best to switch things up a little bit, and start something new. In the past we have featured recipes from around the web, but in this new segment, we are going to find everything from DIY projects, to breakthroughs in science.
1. This is a link to a shop that is selling these sweet edible flowers. It is a wonderful idea to use them as decor on cakes, and in drinks. We are as lucky as can be, because we have a vendor at the Carson Farmers Market who sells these lovely flowers. 2. There has been a breakthrough in the science behind heart transplants. It is so exciting, and could save so many lives! Read more about it here. 3. This DIY gift wrapping accessory is so sweet, and so simple! We are in love! 4. Money Balloons are the most chic way to give a not-so-chic gift. This would be wonderful as a birthday gift, but even better for a grad gift! 5. This NY Times article reminds us about the importance of wearing sunscreen. It is especially important for us, at such high elevations! 6. This cake is so perfect and whimsical! Link Lovin' is a test run, so we would love your feedback! Yesterday was 4th of July & what a party it was! Who says it has to stop there? We think the party should continue all weekend! It was such a wonderful week, and much was accomplished. Despite the fun we are going to have the next two days we also plan on getting some new plants in the ground, and going antiquing for some inspiration. What are you doing with your weekend? We would love to hear in a comment below!
