Our resident artist Stephanie Shefrin always leaves us with beautiful paintings that brighten up the shop. They delight the eye, and draw attention to walls that would otherwise be a blank canvas. We love the extra depth and texture that real oil paintings have. They really add something special to a room. We would love to know- What type of wall decor does your home feature? We love that these floral oils almost come in sets. I would be so easy to put together a cohesive series! You can contact Stephanie, or see more of her works of art at Due Sorella, or on her website Sunflower Shefrin.
Easter is going to be here is a wink, and we are starting to do some serious planning. Today we picked up the cutest Easter themed baby cakes to have in the shop- just couldn't resist their charm!
What are your favorite Easter eats? There is something special about finding your signature scent- weather it be a candle that fills your home with a divine smell, or a perfume that you let lucky passer-by's catch a sneak at. A good fit can be hard to find, but it is so rewarding to finally recognize your favorite. We love Gladys' Kitchen candles, they fill the shop with a scent reminiscent of a grandmothers kitchen when goodies are baking. Sweet soaps are another of our favorites, they leave the perfect amount of scent, a barely there fragrance light enough to not intrude on a perfume. We carry two different French soaps, Lemongrass, & Honey Almond.
What are your signature scents? Here at Due Sorella we are forever trying to find ways to brighten, & revive up rooms that need a little TLC. Sometimes small adjustments are the easiest way to introduce a little something special. Throwing a few colorful, fresh pillows onto a couch, or corner chair is a quick fix to an otherwise dull room- & it only takes seconds! Experimenting with different colors, textures & shapes is so much fun!
This week has been one of our favorites. Spring is finally here, Easter is just around the corner, and the weather is finally treating us right! This is the beginning of a wonderful warm season in the Carson Valley. Here are a few things that are inspiring us right now in the shop!
Welcome to Spring, everyone. We are happy to welcome in the first day of Spring! We will be getting lots of new inventory in the shop that will help you make your spring the best you've had yet! Come in for a visit & find your new favorite thing!
Easter is just under two weeks away. We think that this is the perfect time to start thinking about Easter plans. How will you decorate eggs, where will you celebrate, and most importantly how much chocolate will you be eating? We have been scouring the internet, and our favorite magazines for egg decorating ideas. These ones are unusual, simply fabulous & surprisingly easy! Lace Eggs, Simple Eggs, & Chalkboard Eggs. What are your favorite Easter memories? If you've been in the shop before you know our own personal Easter Bunny, Sweet Pea. This is her favorite holiday, and she can't wait for it to get here!
With spring just around the corner, there are many things that need to get done! These are top on my to-do list.
1. Start/ stop cadbury mini egg addiction. 2. Get the yard raked/ cleaned up. 3. Scout for new & old pots and lawn ornaments. 4. Get seed inventory organized- I will be using this perfect seed box! 5. Shop early for Mother's Day gift. 6. Clean the corners of the house that are always neglected. 7. Clean out closet!! (& make room for more junk) 8. Pack up winter coats, scarves & gloves. 9. Plan summer trips. 10. Shop at Due Sorella/ Two Sisters for new fun treasures! Ciao Bella, Julie |
