Hot, hot, hot! This weekend we are having the warmest weather so far this year. The heat is coming from every direction, and not even the breeze is offering any relief. We think the only solution is to throw on your bathing suit & some cute shades and lounge by the pool. We hope you have a cool weekend!

There are many wonderful events to attend in Carson over the summer- one of our favorites is the farmers market. Up until recently the farmers market was open on Saturdays from 8:30am- 1:00pm, but now it is open on Wednesdays from 3:30- 8:00pm also. Last week was the trial run for the new day/time & it was wonderful! We are excited to have another chance during the week to replenish our produce stock, visit with all our friends, and support local farmers and businesses. The location of the Wednesday market is on Curry St. & Telegraph St. We hope to see you all there next week!
For more info on the Carson Farmers Market, and how to get involved please visit their website, here. The color red has many meanings. It represents energy, passion, love, and hate. At Due Sorella it is one of our favorite colors. Amidst our collections of neutral items a bright poppy bowl, or an deep maroon old jewelery box draws in the eye, and ads some extra imagination to the palate. Though red is typically thought of as a bold choice in the design world, we like to think of it as an accent color that will never be outdated. There are so many ways you can add color to the interior design scheme in your home. You could choose a bold painting, rich with berry tones to become the focal point in your living room, or utilize small surprising accents to liven up an entire space. Because the color is loud enough to stand on it's own we deem it one of the easiest colors to use in decor.
A recent study showed that red makes men more desirable to women. So that really doesn't hurt either. ;) Summer starts this Friday! There are some chores that we plan on completing, but mostly we want to soak up some sun & enjoy time with friends and family. Here is a list of 10 summer activities we are tickled pink about.
1. Attend a baseball game. Wouldn't it be fun to catch a fly ball? 2. Take a painting class. 3. Spend the day at the beach. 4. Re-paint our outdoor furniture- Thinking hot pink! 5. Enjoy all the flowers we have planted. 6. Take a mini road trip to Daffodil Hill. 7. Barbeque. 8. Go camping. 9. Make more time for family. 10. Find new treasures. And spend time at Due Sorella! ... so they are better boozie!
